Hollywood, domain of the stars - December 2012
 Welcome back to Los Angeles, city of the movies and the stars! These pictures show the same usual tourist vision of Hollywood and Downtown LA, going through Santa Monica and the Hollywood sign.But it may be interesting to note a large detour by the Hollywood museum, house of many costumes, decors and items from movies! Also you may notice the tomb of Marylin Monroe. This one is actually not easy to find as she is resting in a small cementery surrounded by buildings, making it invisible from the street! Therefore you have to really look for it, but once you're inside you will meet a few famous people! The squirrel was also in this cementery. He was very alive though.  Et nous revoici à Los Angeles, revisitant les grands classiques : Hollywood Boulevard, le signe Hollywood, Santa Monica, le centre-ville...Mais cette fois-ci, petite nouveauté, un grand nombre de photos sont directement liées à l'histoire du cinéma ! En effet, vous pouvez apercevoir différents costumes, décors, objets, etc., du Hollywood Museum. Également parmi les photos, la tombe de Marylin Monroe, pas facile à trouver ! Le cimetière en tout cas. Il se trouve que celui-ci est caché derrière des bâtiments d'allure tout à fait standard, ce qui le rend impossible à voir depuis la rue, de n'importe que côté ! Mais bon, en cherchant, on trouve. Et on peut trouver quelques personnalités du cinéma. Et un écureuil. |
August 2011 - Route 1 from LA to SF
After visiting LA, the next step of the road trip was San Francisco, so we took the famous route 1 (Highway 1). Despite the weather (lot of clouds, especially in the end), the scenery was really gorgeous! |

Second part of the trip to LA with some pictures of the Universal Studios Hollywood. Nice park, we've seen a couple of great attractions over there. |
August 2011 - part 1
This is the first part of a road-trip I did during summer 2011. First city was Los Angeles and the famous Hollywood! Although famous, it is not that great of a city. Hollywood is nice, but apart from the touristic locations, there is not much to see. I was lucky though since there was a special exhibition about the filmmaker Tim Burton at the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). |
